OUR NAME AND LOGO
The name Cypress Hills Ministries was natural given the location of most of our events in our early years. Our name also draws on the qualities of the Cypress tree, which is known for being distinctively aromatic, resistant to decay, and durable in harsh weather. This reflects the impact we hope our ministries will have on participants.
We desire to see Christians become stronger in their faith through feeding deeply on God’s Word so that they can stand the test of time and endure to the end whatever trials they may face. We also want to help Christians acquire a distinctive “smell” so that they stand out to the culture around them as God’s children. All of this is reflected in our logo, which depicts a Cypress tree growing out of the Word of God.
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in season.
